January 11, 2008 - International Day of Action Day to Shut Down Guanta’namo Bay Prison.
Witness Against Torture has declared January 11, 2008 “International Day of Action Day to Shut Down
Guanta’namo Bay Prison.” Veterans For Peace is proud to be one of the many members of this coalition that is working actively to bring attention to the 290 prisoners who are still awaiting justice in the prison of Guantanamo. Major actions are happening in Washington D.C., but you can also find events in your local area.
No matter where you are located, you can draw attention to the struggle by wearing orange. Whether you wear an entire orange jumpsuit, or just an orange t-shirt, talk to people about why you want to see justice for the prisoners of Guantanamo.
